SYNOPSIS
This book tells the stories of Maria Linhaça and Maria das Dores, two flax seeds with unequal lives who find themselves in a trunk. It is a recreation of the memory and knowledge of our elders, wise ambassadors of Barroso's daily life.
THE AUTHOR
Paula Oliveira
Paula Oliveira has a degree in Portuguese and Lusophone Studies from the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the New University of Lisbon and a Master's degree in Cultural Project Management from the Universidad de Alcalá, Madrid.
After a professional career in the performing arts and museology, he changed the direction of his life. He left the city and created the Cabril Eco Rural project, ecotourism and sustainable development. Passionate about the people and places of the municipality of Montalegre, she began the work of collecting and sharing the Traditional Culture of Barroso, giving life to lost traditions, such as the cultivation of rye in high mountains, artisanal burel in Pisão and the linen cycle. He believes that natural, cultural and human heritage are the territory's added values. Valuing this heritage is his life purpose.
THE ILLUSTRATOR
Barbara Barreto
He was born in Lisbon (1997), but it was in Torres Vedras that he spent most of his childhood.
She graduated in Product Design, although since she was little she has been amazed and excited by the rest of the worlds, especially that of art and knowledge.
Get your hands dirty as an assistant in the ESAD.CR wood workshop. and is a mentor in extracurricular classes in basic education.
The illustration is still a green field, which you want to see bloom.
