About Cabril
Cabril is the second largest parish in the municipality of Montalegre. Entirely inserted in the Peneda-Gerês National Park, the parish is made up of 15 small villages spread over an area of 76.6 km2.
The villages of downtown Cabril are located along the River Cabril whose source is in Sobroso and the mouth is on the Cávado River.
The water lines abound in this parish, creating waterfalls, lakes, streams, streams and lakes of great beauty. The Horses Cell Cascade, from Pincães, the Poços Verdes do Sobroso, the blue well of Fafião, are some of the examples you'll want to see.
The parish of Cabril is also rich in cultural and human values. Some of the ancestral agricultural practices are still practiced. Pastoralism remains an important source of income for local families. Small family farms provide the basic foods of an organic diet.
Don't come alone, bring your family
Cabril Eco Rural is about a way of living, caring, believing, growing and feeling. Cabril Eco Rural is about nature and our love for it.
Since its inception, Cabril Eco Rural has been an ecotourism and sustainable development project. I was lucky to inherit this place and its culture and feel responsible for caring for, preserving and spreading this legacy for generations to come.
